The May Bonfire has been a 40 year tradition at Farm Hill. In the early years there were fireworks and all sorts of fun things. Now it’s more of a social gathering where family and locals get together and stand around the bonfire, with hot soup and sausages. This year, we were blessed with a very mild night and no rain. While it could be a little hazardous navigating around the earthworks in the dark, a line of glowsticks led the way to the event – in case anyone missed the 40 foot high flames! And glow necklaces were useful in keeping track of the kids!
It’s good to see progress with the road construction through to the cul-de-sac area. This view, taken from South Hobart, puts it in some perspective. We are aiming for a Spring or perhaps early summer release of the finished lots; due to some delays caused by bad weather. If you would like to take a look – by all means drive down Thelma Drive, but please don’t enter the road under construction…it’s dangerous!
